TFMS F.A.Q.

After publishing my tariff to the Internet, the Internet version of the sheets appear to be very wide, as if there were no line breaks.

This article applies to TFMS XP and TFMS 2003.

There is a setting in Microsoft Word that keeps TFMS from recognizing the end of each line on a tariff sheet. The end result is that the tariff sheets appear to consist of a few VERY wide lines when displayed on the Internet. The solution to this issue is to turn the "Draft font" option off in Word as follows:

  1. Close Microsoft Word if it is running.
  2. Close TFMS if it is running.
  3. Close Microsoft Outlook if it is running.
  4. Start Microsoft Word.
  5. Select "Tools | Options..." from Word's menu.
  6. As shown below, make sure the "Draft font" option is unchecked.
  7. Click "OK" to dismiss the Options dialog.
  8. Close Microsoft Word.
  9. Start TFMS.

TFMS 2003 remembers how each tariff sheet was published to the Internet. By doing so, it is able to re-publish tariff sheets very quickly by reusing the previously published version. This works well...until there is a problem with the previously published version, which is the case here.

If you are using TFMS 2003, please continue with step 10. Otherwise, jump ahead to step 11.
  10. For each and every tariff sheet that was published to the Internet and formatted badly...
    (a) Open the tariff sheet.
    (b) Select "Sheet | Detail..." from the menu.
    (c) On the "Details" tab, change the status of the tariff sheet to Work-in-Progress.
    (d) Click the OK button to dismiss the "Sheet Detail" dialog.
    (e) Select "Sheet | Detail..." from the menu once again.
    (f) Change the status of the tariff sheet back to what it was before step 10c.
    (g) Click the OK button to dismiss the "Sheet Detail" dialog.
    (h) Close and save the tariff sheet.

If there are many, many tariff sheets that are formatted badly on the Internet, please contact us so we can discuss alternatives to the procedure outlined in step 10.
  11. Publish your tariff to the Internet using your standard procedure.
